“Just rest your back” is the worst advice I was ever given.
For years I was protecting my back - bracing, being careful, doing less.
Turns out that’s exactly backwards.
In this week’s Healthy Back Class, we used foam rollers and resistance bands to do the opposite: release what’s been stuck, and strengthen what’s been weak.
The roller melted away fascia tension that had been quietly limiting mobility.
The bands built deep core stability, the kind that doesn’t show in a mirror, but shows up when you bend, lift, or just stand tall by 5pm.
A healthy back isn’t built by avoiding movement. It’s built by moving smarter.

I used to have pain at night and wake up stiff every morning, and tried different forms of exercises before I found the ones that worked for me.
I do these 7 Foam Roller Exercises before bed to help me sleep through the night or in the morning if I wake up feeling stiff.
What area gives you the most trouble - low back, mid back, sciatica, hips?
