Stop your scroll and enjoy this 1 minute Centering Break from Yoga One lead teacher Amy Caldwell.
It doesn't take years of practice and study to reap the benefits of yoga and mindfulness. (Although our teachers have put in hundreds of hours of training and years of work - they walk the walk!)
You can experience mindfulness, calm, and peace after just one minute of practice. The practice of yoga is to keep returning. Every moment is a chance to begin again.
We offer classes in our San Diego studio and live online. Wherever you are, you are welcome to join us!

Course Begins June 28th.
Also Held Live Online Via Zoom!
We’re looking forward to sharing an inspirational summer adventure!
Hi, Amy here 👋
Yoga is so vast and powerful, it can be helpful to start with small mindfulness practices.
If you have to distill yoga into one smaller part, a good place to start is to consider all thoughts, speech, and actions from the perspective of loving-kindness (ahimsa).
Years ago, a teacher of mine shared this simple framing -
Is it true?
Is it nice?
Is it necessary?
Living with this awareness is changing my life. ❤️
Get to know Cole who teaches our 30min. Core Challenge Class - get moving, get sweaty, and challenge yourself!
Movements are modifiable and all are welcome 🤗
Mondays at 4:45pm and Thursdays at 8:15am
Q: What’s your approach to life and movement?
My approach to life and movement is simple: I believe in strengthening the body and mind to work as a unit. You must have a strong foundation in order to be graceful and efficient in both your thoughts and actions.
Q: Where are you experiencing growth in your life?
I am currently experiencing growth in my business as I moved to San Diego only 8 months ago. I had a professional hiatus and an opportunity to relocate because of covid and the need for knee surgery. I am now recovered and I’m ready to build my clientele base here in San Diego!
Q: What’s your favorite kind of burrito?
My favorite burrito is an al pastor super burrito from La Taqueria in San Francisco. I haven’t found a super burrito here in SD yet. If anyone has any recommendations I would appreciate it.
Hope to see your smiling face in person or live online 😍

We breathe without needing to think as part of our autonomic nervous system. But slowing down and intentionally breathing supports you in mind, body, and spirit.
If you're ready to learn more about breath work and embrace the renewal of spring -
You won't want to miss this fabulous workshop experience!
Breathe Into Spring - Group Breathwork,
offered by @truthfullypey
Sunday, May 1st from 4-6pm
🌱We will gather and spend time talking
🌱We will meditate on the lessons of spring: renewal, letting go, or planting new roots
🌱We will breathe accompanied by spring sounds and music
Once we are finished with the active breath, there will be time to lay in stillness to integrate your practice and emotions. The body often experiences an emotional release. This class will hold space for crying, laughter, and vulnerability.
At the end of the session, there will be an opportunity to share or journal once more.

Yoga teaches us that it’s not just what you do but how you do it that matters.
Here are a few centering practices you can use to bring yourself back into the present moment:
1. Sit or stand up straight. Take a deep breath in through your nose and let it out slowly through your mouth with a soft ‘ahhhh’ sound. Continue for two more breaths, letting go of thoughts and physical tension. Feel and enjoy your breath.
2. Ask yourself the question, “What problem is there RIGHT NOW?” Frequently there IS NO crisis in the present moment. Shift your mindset from finding problems to accepting the situation or make a conscious choice to respond rather than react.
3. Focus on someone or something you are thankful for. This can be done anywhere, anytime – or regularly upon waking, before meals or before bedtime. Feeling gratitude is a powerful tool to reconnect your self with your purpose.
4. If you are feeling completely overwhelmed, take a few deep breaths into your belly, exhaling slowly and completely. If possible, lie on the floor with your lower legs resting on a chair or sofa (make sure your buttocks are resting fully on the floor with a small natural curve under your low back). Close your eyes. When they open, let it be with a new and positive perspective.
Hope this helps, have a great day!
We're wanting a little bit of oomph to catapult us into this new season of warmth and renewal...
So we've added two thirty minute Core Challenge classes to the weekly schedule!
Join us for just the Core Challenge class or follow it up with an hour long Flow Yoga class for those seeking a little bit extra.
Monday at 4:45pm
Thursday at 8:15am
Increase core and glute strength, power, and endurance. This class incorporates static and dynamic movements of the core and hip to complement your yoga practice. Movements are modifiable to any ability and all are welcome!
*New Workshop Alert*
Yin Yoga and the Faschia System with Ben Clarke,
Saturday April 30 at 2-4pm
Explore the connective tissue network known as fascia which surrounds, stabilizes, and separates your muscles and internal organs.
* 30min fascia anatomy lecture
* 90min Yin Yoga practice
Yin Yoga allows you to directly experience your fascia while you hold supported yoga postures for 3-5 minutes.
You'll be invited to explore the presence of tight, restrictive fascia deep in your muscles, to improve elasticity of your fascia for a healthier exchange of fluid nutrients and to release holding patterns across multiple muscle groups.
Amy and I left our Hollywood music business gigs to travel around the world exploring diverse cultures. To help fund our three and a half year adventure, we picked apples in Stanthorpe, Australia. A standard work shift was 10 hours a day for 10 days straight. On our off day, we happened to discover the joys and benefits of yoga from the book "Fit for Life."
Hooked, we spent six months in India studying and deepening our practice. We got engaged in Nepal at 18,800 feet with Mt. Everest as a witness. Another highlight was enjoying four days alone together on an uninhabited Fijian island.
In 2002, we opened award-winning Yoga One with a mission to help as many people as possible live healthier and happier lives. We've honored to have been voted Best Yoga in San Diego for over ten years.
We offer a positive, warm, friendly environment. Our instructors are knowledgeable and teach optimal alignment principles.
We look forward to sharing the joys and benefits of yoga with you. Namaste!
