One of the biggest mindset shifts in healthy living?
Stop treating every missed habit like the end of the story.

This week, one of my coaching clients messaged me:
“I haven’t exercised since Thursday... ☹️”

It would have been easy to stop there.
Instead, she kept going...
✅ Eating well.
✅ A 12-hour overnight fast.
✅ Starting each day fresh and focused.

That’s what progress looks like.
Not perfection.
Not ticking every box.
Recognising what’s still going well and building from there.
Because one missed workout doesn’t erase every supportive choice you’ve made.
It just means the next opportunity is still waiting for you. 💚

If you’re vegan or plant-curious and looking for coaching, support and accountability, I’d love to welcome you into Plant Positive. Try it free for 7 days (link in bio). 🌱

I smiled watching the cats doing their early morning zoomies... and it reminded me of a mindset framework I come back to again and again. 😹
Not zoomies around the house.
Zoomies around perspective.
Whenever I catch myself overthinking, catastrophising or feeling stuck, I do three zoomies:
🔍 Zoom out. Will this matter in a year?
Sometimes the bigger picture is all we need.
🎯 Zoom in. What's really going on here?
Often the problem we're trying to solve isn't the actual problem.
↔️ Zoom sideways. Borrow another perspective.
What would your future self do? What advice would you give a friend?

It's amazing how often the "problem" changes once the perspective does.
🐈 Cat-astrophising?
Do the Zoomies.
🔍 Zoom out.
🎯 Zoom in.
↔️ Zoom sideways.

It's one of the many mindset tools we explore inside Plant Positive, alongside simple plant-based nutrition, healthy habits, recipes, live coaching and a wonderfully supportive community.
We'd love to welcome you.

Have you ever finished a conversation and thought...

“I want more of that person’s energy.” 💚

That’s exactly how I felt after recording this podcast with Matthew Halteman.

One idea has stayed with me:

✨ Curiosity changes hearts in ways judgement rarely can.

If you’ve ever felt frustrated that someone you care about “just doesn’t get it,” I think you’ll find this conversation refreshing.

It’s a beautiful reminder that advocacy isn’t about winning arguments.

It’s about opening doors.

Not zoomies around the house.
Zoomies around perspective. 😹

Whenever I feel overwhelmed, stuck or like I’m making a mountain out of a molehill, I ask myself to do three things:
🔍 Zoom out.
Will this matter in a year? Sometimes the problem shrinks the moment I remember how small this moment is in the bigger picture.

🎯 Zoom in.
What’s really going on here? Often the problem I’m trying to solve isn’t the actual problem.

↔️ Zoom sideways.
Borrow another perspective. What would I tell a friend? What would my future self thank me for? What would someone just starting out see differently?

I’ve found that often when we feel stuck, it’s not because the situation has to change.
It’s because our perspective does.

This is one of the many mindset tools we explore inside Plant Positive—alongside simple plant-based nutrition, healthy habits, recipes, live coaching and a wonderfully supportive community.

Have you ever thought about veganism as an abundance aggregator? 💚
That was one of my favourite ideas from this week's conversation with philosopher and Hungry, Beautiful Animals author, Matthew Halteman.
Instead of seeing veganism as a list of things we give up... (which many pre-vegans focus on)
What if we saw it as something that brings together so many of the things we already want?
🌱 A stronger, healthier body.
💚 Less risk of chronic disease.
⚖️ A more just and compassionate world.
🤝 Work that doesn't ask people to participate in suffering.
🐄 A future where more animals get to live the lives they were born to live.
The more I sat with this idea, the more it resonated.
For me, veganism has never been about deprivation.
It's been about bringing my values and my actions into closer alignment... and discovering that they strengthen one another.
That's why I loved this conversation so much.
It isn't about guilt or judgement.
It's an invitation to imagine a richer, kinder and more abundant way of living.

💚 I'd love to know... when you think about veganism, what's one thing it has added to your life?

One of my favourite coaching conversations recently wasn’t about protein or calories.
It was about making dinner easier.

Instead of asking,
“What should we have tonight?”
..every single evening...
we created simple themes for each day of the week.
🫘 Mexican Monday
🌮 Taco Tuesday
🥣 Wrap Wednesday
🍠 Tray Bake Thursday
🍔 Fakeaway Friday
🥢 Stir-fry Saturday
🥕 Slow Cooker Sunday

Suddenly there are fewer decisions to make.
You still have plenty of variety...
you’re just no longer starting from scratch every night.
That’s what good systems do.
They remove friction and make healthy eating feel simpler. 💚

What if menopause wasn’t something to survive?

What if it was an invitation to become stronger, wiser and even healthier than before?
Something that happens for us, not to us. 💚

That’s one of the reasons I’m so excited to be part of the Plant Powered in Menopause Summit.

It’s a free 14-day online series (July 27–August 9), bringing together experts in plant-based nutrition, fitness, menopause health and healthy ageing to share practical, evidence-based strategies that can make a real difference.

My session is all about Developing a Plant Positive Mindset—because while food matters, the way we think about change often matters too.

I’m honoured to be speaking alongside Dr. Neal Barnard, Brenda Davis, Karina Inkster, Victoria Moran and many other incredible experts.

Whether menopause is part of your life right now, still on the horizon, or affecting someone you love...
If you’ve ever felt confused, frustrated, dismissed, or simply wished someone had explained what was happening to your body, this summit was created for you.
💚 It’s completely free.
👉 Reserve your complimentary ticket by visiting:
plantpoweredinmenopause.com

I hope you’ll join us. I truly believe this conversation has the power to change the way we think about menopause—for good.
