Congratulations to our very own Dave Pendall, who has been awarded the British Empire Medal in the 2026 New Year's Honours List. ποΈ
Dave has given decades of service as a volunteer coach at Bedford Rowing Club, becoming a key figure in the club and a trusted mentor to generations of young people.
Alongside coaching the sport itself, he has focused on building discipline, resilience and teamwork, helping junior athletes of all backgrounds to progress.
His commitment has supported local growth in rowing, and many former students have gone on to achieve regional and national success through his unpaid hours of guidance and technical support.
We are incredibly proud to have such a member within our club

Another successful weekend ticked off for BRC as we brought back 4 wins across the 2 days racing.
The weekend started with our senior men storming to the win swapping 1 blade for 2. With deane rounding out the day picking up the win in a composite.
On the Sunday the course shortened to 500m Brodie and Cox picked up another pot to add to the ever growing trophy cabinet. Alongside them the new combo of Korolev and Truluck got their maiden win together.
Well done to all our athletes in action over the weekend π
