MY BIGGEST CHALLENGE YET ๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿผโ€โ™‚๏ธ

I have got myself signed up for my first ultra marathon in June (probably a really bad idea ๐Ÿ˜‚)

I have never ran more than a half marathon, and have barely any experience of running trails

So why not sign up for a 53km race with 1600m of elevation ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ

Iโ€™ve always been fascinated by people doing mad challenges like running/cycling across continents/countries, double Ironmans, combining lifting and ultra running and all sorts of other things.

And Iโ€™ve always wished I have the balls to do something like that. So Iโ€™m chucking myself straight into an ultra (even though itโ€™s only a little more than a marathon)

There is going to have to be some big changes to training and Iโ€™m definitely going to have to drop from my usual 5 gym sessions a week, and Iโ€™m going to need to be running more than my current 3 times per week.

Definitely going to have to lose a bit of weight too, which is sad because Iโ€™ve been enjoying getting stronger ๐Ÿ˜ข

The plan is to get this hyrox out of the way Saturday, then start working out how to fit all my weekly training in, whilst managing to increase my running mileage (and not get injured, which is always the hard part)

Iโ€™m a sucker for having a goal and something to work towards and feel like I need it to make sure I continue to push myself in training, this one just might be a bit extreme ๐Ÿ˜‚

Follow along for the journey to come over these next 21 weeks ๐Ÿ‘Š๐Ÿป

CLIENT RESULTS

Huge shoutout to my client Dan, who has achieved some unbelievable results in 2025 ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

Dan came to me in May, with the main goal of losing body fat but also wanting to build a bit of muscle and get stronger.
After a couple of months we decided getting down to 80kg was a good target, which he hit in December.

Meaning a total of 14.5kg weight loss in 7 months ๐Ÿ†

Dan works a busy job and has priorities outside of the gym, but he made it work perfectly to achieve his goals.
Doing 3 strength sessions per week, with bits of conditioning and 1 lower intensity cardio session. (Usually training before work at 4.30-5am I will add)

I worked with Dan to create a training programme that suited his goal, and worked out his calories/macros to ensure he was regularly losing weight. He nailed both aspects of it, always hitting his sessions and sticking to his calories.
Which is the dream for me as a coach ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

We werenโ€™t overly restrictive, he went on a couple holidays during this time, and had an off plan meal once every 1-2 weeks generally.
But due to his consistency the rest of the time and allowing extra calories for these off plan meals, the results were exactly what we hoped for.

Now heโ€™s achieved his weight loss goal, heโ€™s ready to leave PT and go forward by himself with a new goal of maintaining bodyweight and building strength.

Top work Dan ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

Are you looking for weight loss results like this?

I currently have space for 3 new clients.

Iโ€™m looking for 3 busy people who want to lose body fat, but feel like they donโ€™t have the time to do it.

Just like I did with Dan, I will work with you to create a training schedule that suits your goals and the time you have available to train.

I will work out exactly how much you should be eating, give you 3 example days of what that looks like, and then be there to hold you accountable and ensure that you stick to the plan ๐Ÿ‘Š๐Ÿป

If this sounds like what you need to get 2026 off to a good start or want anymore info, drop me a DM saying โ€˜PT 2026โ€™ and I will walk you through the process ๐Ÿ“ฒ
(Or fill out the enquiry form in my bio)

2025 it has been a pleasure๐Ÿซก

Im a bit late to the party but itโ€™s been a year with plenty of highs, with some of the best days of my life

But some lows in there as well

2 Hyroxโ€™s, 2 half marathons, my stag do, going to Valencia/seville/nerja, seeing friends get married, honeymoon in the Philippines and of course the highlight of it all, getting married ๐Ÿคต๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿ‘ฐ๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ

Been a very successful year ๐Ÿค

Hereโ€™s to 2026 trying to match that ๐Ÿบ

CHELTENHAM HALF MARATHON ๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿผโ€โ™‚๏ธ

PB time today, what a beauty.

Chip time 1:40:36, over 5 minutes better than my time from last year, so very pleased with that ๐Ÿค

Goal was sub 1:45 originally, but now wishing I pushed a little harder in the middle section. Felt like I had a little bit more in the tank but didnโ€™t know if that would be stupid, as I fell apart at the end last year ๐Ÿ˜‚

But in general it all went pretty well, very consistent splits and felt decent through out. Then gave it the absolute Tommy fury sprint finish

Sub 1:40 definitely wasnโ€™t far away๐Ÿ‘€

Been dealing with all sorts of knee and ankle problems the last couple months (as you can see from all the tape) so glad to make it through in one piece, even though my knee is a bit on the sore side now

Rest up for a few days, then we push again until Hyrox in October๐Ÿ‘Š๐Ÿป

Also, fair play to all the people out and about watching, was a big old turn out and definitely gave me the push I needed when I was in the pain cave ๐Ÿซก

2 MONTHS UNTIL WE DO IT ALL OVER AGAIN ๐Ÿ˜ค๐Ÿ˜ค

1 month out from my next half marathon, 2 months out from HYROX Birmingham

Training has been going well, up there with the strongest Iโ€™ve been (especially at this bodyweight), just gotta keep getting my cardio up there ๐Ÿ‘Š๐Ÿป

Have picked up a bit of a knee problem these last couple of weeks, now itโ€™s all about managing that and hopefully being able to push through the next few weeks training as there is a lot of running coming up ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

This week has been a deload so fingers crossed that helps a bit ๐Ÿคž

One thing Iโ€™ve tried to really improve these last couple of months is listening to my body. Iโ€™ve trained long enough now that I can tell when an issue is starting to build up.
Something I used to completely ignore ๐Ÿ˜‚

If you can feel niggles and injuries getting worse, ease back, take a deload week if needed

Also make sure youโ€™re doing your accessory work to try and prevent them from coming in the first place.

Going to be a fun couple of months

Letโ€™s go baby ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ˜ค

โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”

Iโ€™ve got a couple of PT slots free at the moment

If you want to come out of summer feeling strong, feeling fit, ready to attack these next few months before Christmas, then drop me a DM๐Ÿ“ฒ

WYE VALLEY TUNNEL HALF MARATHON ๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿผโ€โ™‚๏ธ

Well those conditions were fun ๐Ÿ™ƒ

Barely rained for the last couple of months, then it decides to absolutely pour it down when I have a half marathon ๐Ÿ˜‚

But all in all, it was a fun experience (kind of)

Starting to feel like I want to venture more into some trail running, so was nice to dip my toe into something like this that was mainly trail paths, but still relatively flat (and ran through a tunnel which was fun)

Went into this event with no expectations of getting a PB in all honesty.
The 2 main reasons for this were:

2 weeks off training for my wedding a few weeks ago, when it should have been my highest mileage running weeks

Weighing a solid 5-6kg more than my previous halfโ€™s

So went in with the intention of enjoying it and to not push to my absolute limit. Once I settled in I had a slight thought maybe I should try and give a PB a go, but the weather put a hold on that very quickly ๐Ÿคฃ

Ended up finishing in 1:50:10, 5 minutes off my PB, so I cannot complain. Finishing 17th out of 60 odd people ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ

As always a big shout out to my support crew that came to watch, it definitely was needed at the time ๐Ÿคฃ

Now that is complete, the focus moves on to Cheltenham half in September, and HYROX doubles in October ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿป

That means it is time to dial in with my training and nutrition. Lose a couple of kgโ€™s, maintain strength in the gym and start pushing running a bit more.

With the aim of a sub 1:45 half in September and getting as close to an hour at HYROX as we can ๐Ÿ‘Š๐Ÿป

I always recommend getting out there and getting stuck into some events. Having a goal and something to aim towards with your training will help you stay on track, keep accountable to yourself and give you that extra push to do as best as you can when it comes to race day (or whatever event it is youโ€™re doing).

And if you need a coach to help you get there, drop me a DM๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿผ

ps. my shorts arenโ€™t that short, I had to roll them up because my burn was burning ๐Ÿ˜‚

SEVILLEโ˜€๏ธ

First full day back at work today, reminiscing about the good times of last week ๐Ÿ˜ข

A lovely few days mini honeymoon in Seville, eating lots of tapas, drinking lots of beer and sweating lots from the 40 degree weather ๐Ÿ”ฅ

Time to get the proper honey moon booked ๐Ÿ‘€

But straight back into work today, clients, classes and my own training back in full flow ๐Ÿ‘Š๐Ÿป

That also means I am back taking on new clients. If you need someone to help get you started in the gym, or you are wanting to kick on and take your training to the next level, drop me a DM to find out how I can help ๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ

WELL DONE HYBRID ROCKSTARS ๐Ÿค˜๐Ÿป๐Ÿค˜๐Ÿป๐ŸŽธ๐ŸŽธ

FairPlay to any of you that went out and competed at HYROX Cardiff this weekend, venue looked class and Iโ€™ve been getting serious fomo seeing loads of people there ๐Ÿคฃ

But seeing of all this has got me excited for the next one, 5 months of solid training then we go after doubles in Birmingham ๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿผโ€โ™‚๏ธ
(As long as I dont injured like usual)

If you are someone that competed this weekend, or has one booked in the future, and need that extra bit of help with your training, then hit me up ๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ

Whether your goal is to cross the finish line in one piece or to improve on a previous time. As a coach, I can create you a training programme that will improve your running splits, whilst developing the strength and endurance needed to power through the 8 stations.

Your programme will be tailored specifically for you, focusing on improving any areas where you are weaker, and ensuring progress on your current strengths.

If youโ€™ve already raced previously, we will analyse your results together, identify where you need to improve your goal time, and create a plan from there that will get you to that goal ๐Ÿ‘Š๐Ÿป

This can be done as part of an online coaching packages, but if you need that extra bit of help it can be done with 1-1 PT also

Drop me a message for more info๐Ÿ“ฒ

ps, is anybody else still hoping this hybrid rockstar thing isnโ€™t real? ๐Ÿคฃ
Not sure I want to do another of thatโ€™s what it stands for
