A plateau can really have you questioning what you are doing but don't worry because everyone hits one at some point

Its how you react which will keep you making or not making progress

A plateau will occur simple because what ever you are going is not stimulating growth to improve

Principles are a constant, the method of which you use is up to you

Be very aware of those influencers and marketeers who tell you there method is the only way to do something

Those individuals are ar****les who only care about money and are not bothered about learning to help people

Many roads lead to Rome but they all lead to one place.

Now there is a difference form being truthful and being an ar****le and ill tell you from experience there is a fine line

The if the truth is going to save/help someone it then needs to be said

This truth comes from a place of love and caring about that individual and wanting them to be better/do better

There's only two real reasons why you should change you program

1) If you can't make anymore progress
2) If you don't enjoy it

Now let me make no.2 very clear

That's not changing every workout every week

That's changing it because you cant adhere to it and therefore can't be consistent

You get enjoyment out of making progress which motivates you to turn up

Want the easiest and fast way to get results?

Create a plan and stick with it

The reason you aren't getting results is you keep jumping from one fad to another

What you need to do is do the basic ruthlessly and consistently

Those basics are:

Working out
Nutrition
Sleep
Stress Management

Thats it get those things right with the correct parameters and watch how quickly you can change

This is an honest question you need to be asking yourself about what you want to do going forward and how driven you are when it comes to hitting your goals

Its all good going hard at your workout and nutrition for a week but that's only 1 week and your results wont happen that quick.

Everyone needs some accountability and it can comes in a variety of different ways e.g. a coach, a gym buddy, progress pictures etc...

The place you need to be in when looking at those/things that are keeping you accountable is that they are trying to help me get to my goals rather then hinder and this is where you need to stop taking it to heart, which most do.

Will eating clean build you muscle?

No

In order to build muscle you need to be in a surplus to begin with which means you are putting on weight

In order for that weight to be muscle you need a program to stimulate growth and progressively overload

The eating clean aspect is a good idea for general health but its a magic thing whereby you only put on muscle and no fat

To much of anything is a bad thing
