I love the gym and I love eating well because of how it makes me feel - but I have no desire to change my body anymore but there was a time I did.

From panic sit ups pre night out (not that that works anyway) to going on some no carb diet to only realise all I ate was carbs because I didn’t know what to eat but sweets and courgette? And no more pressure to feel like I have to be the smallest version of me to be good enough and to have a career ~ dance school trauma right here!

Society has taught us to idolise thin bodies and it’s hard not to lust after them. But the reality is, we are all so different, naturally, genetically, realistically and what is healthy for us as an individual.

How one person eats and trains will not automatically mean you look the same if you ate or trained the same.

You can spend a lifetime battling your body, just to miss out on all the little joys of life.

But you can also practise some balance!! It doesn’t have to be in extremes.

Just because you exercise, doesn’t mean you need to be signed up to a million competitions or to look a certain way training for anything in particular.

You can just be eating and exercise for the pure health benefits and even just for fun / social!

If you want to enjoy your training and find your balance then give me a follow as I am here to be that reminder✨

FYI your bikini body is just a body with a bikini on it.

As the Summer posts are in full swing and the voice in your head starts to be mean, I want you to remember

-> your body is bikini ready - put a bikini on and voila
-> the summer memories, laughs and silly memories are so much more important than what your body looks like on the beach or at the bbq
-> you’re friends with your friends because they make you laugh and have fun with - not because of how you look in a bikini or whatever you wear

So remember when the negative talk kicks in - how would you speak to a friend? Can you try talking in third person to yourself - talk to yourself like you’re talking to a friend.

And I know it isn’t as easy as putting on a bikini and feeling confident, these are just little things to remind you and may give you that 1% extra confidence and to know your self worth you need!

Equally it can be hard and you need more support and that’s ok! It can be helpful to have layers, maybe challenge yourself gentle to wear a bikini top with a skirt or a shirt over a bikini and do what feels comfortable. I’m not here to tell you what to do. But I am here to remind you - you are worthy of wearing what you like if you want to and if you’re looking for that extra support to guide you in your journey and through the steps to get to that confidence and self work then message me “summer”.

It’s not about a summer shred, it’s about support and guidance so you know your worth and believe in yourself this summer. Not changing your body but changing your mindset.

July has been a crazy month amazing highs, memories and goals achieved, along with some tough moments, basically no training and a mix of health stuff, it really has been a mix of highs to lows!

A month full of celebrations, my sisters birthday, my parents 30th wedding anniversary, I go to see one of my fave DJs with my besties, trips to London with sushi and Pimm’s, I got to visit Ireland one of my fave countries that feels so calming and got to immerse in the most magical training for my level II - all things Breathwork and somatics ~ I still haven’t found the words to explain all of this and share what I’m learning ~ explore Dublin, hosted a bbq for lots of my friends & hosted a dream charity event and more - It was a jam packed month🫶

So whilst July has been full of so much love and memories and this July photo dump really shows that - but please let this be your reminder that instagram is pretty much a highlight reel and it’s so easy to compare but you never know the full picture the full story ✨

If you’re panicking about losing weight to be enjoying summer, we need to talk.

We all do it, every time the sun comes out we start stressing. And I get it - in summer we can feel a little bit more exposed due to a change in outfits, to keep cool we wear less and our bodies are on show.

We dust of the scales and ban foods from the house all to feel a bit better in a bikini, shorts or whatever to feel cool.

It becomes a cycle of crash dieting and regaining.
Over and over again.

Summer should be about longer evenings outside, bbqs with friends, beach days slathering on factor 50.

We should be enjoying the rare (although maybe not rare this year? - not complaining I LOVE IT) sunshine rather than worried about how we look enjoying these moments.

And yes it’s easier said than done, I know that.

It’s why integrating training into your routine is the best way to feel content all year round.

Train for joy. Train for longevity. Train because it makes you feel good. We become proud and appreciate our bodies.
It’s of course ok - you don’t need my permission to have body composition goals but let’s give our selves the permission to know we don’t need to change, our bodies are worthy as they are and to wear what we want when we want.

Dm me “summer” if you’re looking for support to feel your best and to know your worth !

F**k the summer body.

Let’s build some confidence for all year round.

Now confidence doesn’t have to mean loving your body all the time, all year round.

We are not creating some false fake positivity.

It’s about knowing our worth isn’t based on our body and that our body is for living all year round, not a season.

If you’re looking for a coach to support you and help you feel your most confident all year round then drop me a message and I’m happy to help and chat✨

You’ll catch me with Sub Focus and Fisher on repeat before the session with a sprinkle of Fred Again during the session…

It’s isn’t all whales and chimes over here!

For me dancing, shaking and singing are a way to regulate fast especially when that music is loud!!!
Anyone else?

If you’re beating yourself up because you just can’t stick to a training plan... we need to reassess.

Your plan shouldn’t make you hate the gym.

Often the issue is the balance between enjoyment and boredom. We all need a little bit of novelty - but consistency in training is keyyyy to making progress.

I think for most people and I’ve found with my clients over the years that striking the right balance is key.

Variety with enough consistency for gains.

For a lot of people it’s more about moving and training the full body than being on the most optimal programme.

It’s finding things you actually enjoy, and won’t just avoid
Enjoying = want to do it = consistency = progress without
even realising = proud = enjoyment and the cycle repeats!!

If you’re looking for a coach who helps you find that balance between consistency and enjoyment then you know when I am and feel free to reach out with your questions✨
