Martine & Anita will be at the Warsash Festival on Saturday 9th July. Pop over and say hello - they'll be based on the Warsash Therapy Rooms stand. 😀
Our instructors will be taking some well-earned breaks during the summer months. We will be covering classes where possible but we do have a smaller timetable between the 12th and 23rd July. Lisa will also be away for two weeks during the second half of August and Anita for the first week of September and Martine for the second week of September. Victoria will also be taking a break from 27th July - 23rd August so there will be no Wednesday morning Virtual Yoga class during this time.

Please check your classes on BSport in advance so you can plan your fitness schedule - as you can find similar classes at alternative times during the week.

She teaches hatha yoga, a mixture of holding postures and sequences, designed to enhance breathing techniques, improve stamina and stability, and help relax and soften the body, enabling movement and mobility. Lisa will be based at Warsash Therapy Rooms offering Sports/Remedial Massage on Thursdays starting from next week 16th June. This venue is set up with modern purpose-built therapy rooms and is conveniently located on Shore Road next to the Fish & Chip shop.
We're taking a break over Bank Holiday Thursday and Friday - however Anita will be running the Saturday classes over the holiday weekend.
So to get your exercise in come along on Saturday to Dance Fitness at 9am and Legs, Bums & Tums at 10am, at Victory Hall. Both also available on Zoom.

Lisa's class on Wednesday evenings at 7.00pm gives a full workout of the Abs! She uses a series of upright moves and exercises using weights to increase the intensity, followed by a floor workout using mats.👌

Anita's Adult Tap class is on Thursdays at 8pm at Abshot Community Centre. The class is suitable for all abilities and uses fantastic music from across the decades.
This genre of dancing is low impact and will improve coordination and balance. It's a great fun workout for everyone. Tap shoes not essential!

Martine's Chair Pilates is ideal for older adults or people with reduced mobility. It is also good for people recovering from an injury or operation, before they return to their normal exercise routine. It's designed to use a chair rather than a mat.
With a gentle Tai Chi style warm-up, the class moves on to stretches and mobility for all the major joints and works on balance and strength, finishing with relaxation. Stretchy bands and soft balls are used during the class. The aim is for a fun class where you will gently stretch and get moving, plus a chance to meet new people.
It's at 9.45am on Wednesdays at Victory Hall, Warsash.

Lisa offers a range of Pilates classes throughout the week. Two with a particular twist are👇
🧘‍♀️Pilates Flow - Ideal if you have been doing Pilates for a while and wish to push the boundaries between Pilates and general fitness. Dynamic tri-plane exercise sequences are used to test and improve your balance and all over body strength and fitness. Each sequence is explained and practiced and built onto the next sequence, so by the end of the class, a full flowing routine of movements is achieved (Fridays 8.30am at Victory Hall, Warsash).
🧘‍♀️Pilates for Posture - Lisa starts the class by assessing each person's posture. She then uses a series of moves and exercises, using rollers and tissue massage balls, to ease tension throughout the body and help improve posture (Mondays 7pm at Victory Hall, Warsash).

Victoria's 30-minute class via Zoom is an all-body Yoga Flow which gently eases you into your body, releases any tightness or tension, and prepares your body and mind for the day ahead. Connecting breath with movement, the session will gradually build in pace and energy so your body is looser and your mind is calmer.
It will involve breath-led movement for the whole body, which is fantastic for releasing tight backs, shoulders and hips, and for improving circulation, your immune system and mobility.

Lisa's Fit2Dance on Tuesdays at 6pm, Victory Hall Warsash is currently Abba Style! It's a really fun class that changes the A-Z dance style every 4-6 weeks -from American Smooth to Bollywood, Charleston to Disco as we work our way through the alphabet! Great exercise for the body and mind with easy to follow routines, great music, and friendly people. We have a few weeks left of 'A' so will keep you posted on what 'B' will be!

Martine's Over 50s Keep Fit & Tone is on Monday mornings at 9.30am at Victory Hall. It's an all-round class that will help keep you fit and build your strength. The class has an aerobic section that will increase your heart rate without any high-impact exercises, so easy on the knees! It also has a weight section that uses small hand weights.
The whole class is done to great music and can be attended by both men and women and suitable for all ages over 50 as there are plenty of adaptations of each exercise.
There are no mats involved, exercises are taught in a standing position with the option to sit in a chair if you have mobility issues.

Back from hols and fresh from winning her beach club tennis tournament - Martine will now be re-instating the Wednesday 5.45pm Mixed Pilates class at Victory Hall, Warsash from next week. The class was a little low on numbers before the summer so we are hoping it will pick up and have scheduled it to run until the end of October to see how it goes.
For those who normally do the Monday class at this time - it may be an option for you next week as the class is cancelled due to the Queen's State Funeral. 😀
