My wee week,

Another week another adventure

We left Scotland for Cyprus for a month 🇨🇾

We arrived to 45 mph winds on Sunday 🤣 but man it feels good to be back!

Straight off the plain and into our fave restaurant on Saturday night,

I really love having friends all over the world and being excited to see people everywhere I go now 🌎

A less than perfect week of training with travelling

But another long run and another 30km PB boxed off on the road to Vienna marathon.

Making big level identity change and it’s showing big time 🔥

Achieving this whilst working full time in London, training played just a part in these results..

I’ve travelled every week for the last month

And whilst it’s been fun 🤸‍♀️

F*ckkkkk travelling is so hard on your body

I’ve slept in 6 different beds over the last 4 weeks..

And being in a constant changing environment and being out of your routine nocks you for 6

Proud of the progress I’ve made over the last 4 weeks but the human body thrives off routine

Excited to be somewhere for more than a week now 😆

My wee week,

I cooked for the first time in 6 months,

Had a fab few days off visiting my cousin in England & her new baby with my mum 🥰

Went for lunch with my bestie .mckee for a well overdue catch-up 🫶

Had fajitas fight night 🌯

And my long run on Sunday went sooooo good - really starting to feel like weeks of hard work are paying off 🥹

Inside RFA,

ran an unperson event and loads of our client came along - it was an amazing day 🙌🏻

is having some big revelations around her relationship with food.. eating more and seeing big shifts in her performance and is feeling great in her body! 🤗

went on a trip to NY like a completely different person - prioritising training, enjoying food without guilt and totally checking out of work, not even checking a single email 💌

And .strength done a 5km baseline test, knocking 2 mins off his time in 3 months! 🚀

This weeks wee story..

Me & Kristian gave up watching the news years ago

But the last few week we’ve been more exposed

And for the first time in a long time I’ve felt notably anxious,

I actually questioned Kristian this morning if he thinks we should still go to Cyprus 🇨🇾

And it reminder me why I purposely avoid it

You can’t live your life in scarcity

Cyprus here we come on Saturday 🕺🌞

My wee week,

I started the week with an infection in my toe and not being able to run,

And finished with a 30km PB 🕺

I’m feeling very grateful we got home from Bali and out of Dubai literally days before everything kicked off!

Seeing my gran was the business

hill1.1961 looking after us making lentil soup and mince n tatties has made the cold weather bearable 🤗

Inside RFA,

absolutely crushed Tokyo Marathon running an insane 02:51:24 and 19 minute PB!!

Training for a marathon is a full time job in itself, doing it to the level Ros has whilst working a highly demanding job in the finance centre in London takes ultimate dedication 👏🏻

When Ros first joined us, she was already a very talented runner

The biggest shift wasn’t her programme.. it was her!

Her relationship with food, 
Her self-talk, 
Her sleep and routines, 
The standards she built between sessions…
Her dedication to the deep inner work built the 2:51.

The marathon is the visible part but the real work is what happens between sessions 🥹🫶

obrianx trained in a sports bra for the first time!! 👙

drysdale has been on a huge journey changing everything he knows about himself & absolutely crushing it and reached his month sober this week 🙌🏻

And re-joined us inside the team in our Pro Accelerator programme 🤗

This weeks wee story..

You’ll always find a negative if you look for it 😵‍💫

When I was in Bali I moaned it was too hot to run outside,

On Sunday I found myself putting off going my run because it was to cold, windy and wet.. 

Apparently I’m only built for 17°, overcast and zero wind 🌬️ 😂

It’s never really about the weather,

It’s about whether you’re willing to feel slightly uncomfortable..

And still go anyway 🤪

And that applies to a lot more than running 😉

Sad times saying bye to so many goodbye to Bali 💔

An awesome final weekend spent at the mastermind 🧠

My my toe got infected 🫠

Literally going from feeling like she was destined to struggle with her weight forever

To sending us a message this week in shock that she doesn’t even feel like she’s ‘dieting’

Which is only making the launch of her new business even more electric ⚡️

strength - is literally crushing it at life

Building a business from scratch whilst working full time and going all in on his own self development journey 🕺🏼

Thriving in is physique, finding a love for running & feeling like there are no limits 🙌🏻

_ laid down a spicy new 5km PB and his first sub 20 running an insane 19:20..

In the same week he sealed a deal on a new property for his portfolio 🔥

is seriously thriving,

And has been putting herself out there at work, getting serious recognition as a leader in her ward a leader as a result of all the personal development she’s been doing on herself 🫶

I can’t run until my toes better

A previous version of me would have felt a serious amount of panic and frustration 😖

“But I’m training for a marathon”
“I NEED to run”

Health first always.

Running RN isn’t going to get me to the marathon, it’s going to put me in a hospital bed with cellulitis or worse sepsis 😅

The cross trainer might not be as optimal as running but they’re still going to keep me moving forwards more than doing nothing will.

When life throws you a challenge you can treat it as a barrier or a hurdle

My wee week,

In life I had a terrible week of training 😝

I really questioned why I was doing this marathon⁉️

I cried on the treadmill during a run I know I can do because I ran it 4 weeks ago

I even sent my coach a message saying I was thinking about pulling out 😆

It’s easy to question why you’re doing something when it starts getting hard.

Had a fab date day with .rfa on Saturday

Gym > 2 hours at the spa > painting & a paint fight > sushi 🍣

Our speedy queen ran her peak run from Tokyo,

And accidentally PB’d her 10km running her first ever sub 39!!

I had tears in my eyes when I seen this, having been on the journey with this lady since Boston last year and watch her go from strength to strength in her running, her self confidence and how thats radiating into every other area of her life has been pretty insane 🥹

is absolutely crushing it feeling insane in her physique and crushing mad paces in her running 🔥

is the most locked in I’ve ever seen her - pushing towards her peak week for her half marathon this week whilst balancing a really high pressure job in Japan 🇯🇵 super proud of this lady 👏🏻

This weeks wee story,

A week today we leave Bali..

I feel sad about leaving being here for 6 months

Going back to Europe to the cold and having to cook again is going to be a shock to the system lol -

But you can’t have a positive without a negative

We’ve lived in a warm country and I’ve spent a lot of time inside

100km weeks on the treadmill is taking its tole on my head

It’s a long way from family and friends in Scotland

Working on such a big time difference has been hard to adjust to basically working back shift lol

Looking forwards next week to be running outside not worrying about getting hit by a scooter or chased by a dog

Cant wait to hug my family

Excited to drink water out the tap

BUZZZZING for a diluting juice - it doesn’t exist in south east Asia lol.

Whatever you choose in life comes with a hard

The question isn’t ‘how do I avoid the hard?’

You just have to decide which hard fits the season you’re in 🥰

Happy Valentine’s Day to the person you’ll spend your whole life with..

You 😆❤️

And not the version of you when you’re leaner,

Not the version of you when the business hits six figures or you get the promotion,

Not the version of you when you’ve finally ‘earned’ the rest day..

You right now 🫶

I see it all the time..

Someone sets a physical goal and thinks it’s about the body

But it’s usually about how they think they’ll feel when they get there 💡

More confident,

More secure,

Less in their own head.

That achieving the goal will be the thing that fixes them.

And I get it..

Because a lot of us learned that if we’re progressing, we’re doing good 👍🏻

If you’re improving, you’re enough.

So you chase the physique..

The PB..

The next level 🚀

Not because you’re shallow..

But because you’ve tied our self-worth to the outcome

It’s absolutely ok to want to feel better in your own skin

It’s 100% ok to set big goals for yourself

But confidence doesn’t live in a body..

And self-respect doesn’t just magically appear as soon as you cross the finish line 🏁

It shows up in how you treat yourself when you’re not winning 🥇

Set goals because you respect yourself,

Not because you’re trying to fix yours 🤍

How to tell if you have a disordered relationship with food..

Put zero effort into understanding anything beyond a half arsed stint of calorie tracking and keep everything surface level AF.

Never acknowledge that your upbringing may have something to do with it.

And just hope that it’ll figure itself out with time 👀

Most people have a crap relationship with food until they’ve done something about it 💁‍♀️

Beliefs and rules that wrapped up in all the worst emotions..

Guilt, fear and shame.

Unless you’ve grown up in a household with a family who have worked tremendously hard on improving it..

Then you’re going to have some weird and wacky rules that you don’t even know are rules 😆

The embarrassment to eat in front of others that makes you go 8 hours between a meal, which always leads to a binge episode.

That you’ve never ever thought about until you’re reading this right now 👆

The compulsiveness to order way too much food because everyone else is doing it when you go out for a meal.

Because the fear of being different scares you may more than you realise.

I could keep going and going..

Improving your nutrition doesn’t end once your cut is over.

It’s a never ending journey that you need to surrender too,

And once you do, you realise that you don’t have to live as a prisoner to it either 💡

Because food is part of your existence like it or not.

Nobody is entitled to this, it’s earned and for those who are willing to work hard on it.

My wee week,

Our time in Bali is quickly coming to an end 😢

I can’t believe we only have 2 more weeks left here before we head back to Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Another big week bagged of running,

Me and the treadmill are becoming best friends lol 🤝

Kieran smashed out a speedy 3 min half marathon PB with 3 weeks notice

Not anyone can just prep last minute like this but in the last 6 months I’ve watched Kieran go from half in to all in and it’s evident in what he laid down this morning 😎🔥

ran the Farnbrough Half Marathon - since joining RFA, I’ve watched this girl go from strength to strength with her relationship with food, her performance & building resilience in her mindset - super proud of this lady ♥️

& moved into there first home 🏡

Since working with us these two have been on an insane journey overcoming anorexia and literally being RFA’s biggest ever health transformation

Moving into there house marked a huge point in their journeys 🤗

And in the same week, they upgraded into our Pro Accelerator programme and are about to take things to a whole new level 🚀

A big week of running bagged 🏃‍♀️

A Saturday night cinema trip 🍿

I’ve been making more time in my week to be more present and less in a rush,

Nothing much has changed externally but internally I feel 100x better.

Our girls and .obrianx raced the Gauntlet at the weekend 💪🏻

defineandconquer PB’d her 10km and is on her way too running her first half marathon is Da Nang 🏃‍♀️

is operating on a whole new level, making some big life moves and really stepping into a new version of himself mentally and physically 👏🏻

_ is super locked in right now, pushing towards hyrox, in great shape and working a full time job whilst building a property portfolio 🚀

And is building his body whilst working closely to build his coaching business with Kristian and seeing incredible progress across the board 🔥

This weeks wee story,

Yesterday after my long I had a burger..

Not because I’d just done a long run and ‘earned it’ or ‘deserved it’

Although I used to really think in this way..

But because I actually just really fancied one 😝

I actually don’t tend to eat foods like this after big training days anymore,

Because I’m usually thinking about what my body needs to recover as well as possible

When you’re decisions come from a place of self respect,

They’re always easier to make 😉

My wee week,

A well timed de-load week in training 🏃‍♀️

A big week inside RFA building RFA 2.0 & RFA accelerator 😎

A Saturday afternoon getting some time in nature 🌊

Our superstar done her first ever chin-up and she didn’t just do chin-ups,

She boshed out burpee chin-ups 🤣🙌🏻

And PB’d her 10km by X Mins running 42:51 too - what a week for our gal 🔥

timeless ran a 1 min PB at Hyrox Manchester 🏃

In the last month, life’s threw some unexpected challenges at Ian..

But in the last 6 months I’ve watched this guy work harder than he ever has on his mindset and he turned up at the start line at the weekend in a totally different head space 🚀

It’s not about the event.. it’s about who you become in the process 😉

transformcoaching hosted his first ever in person event..

It takes balls to get up in front of a room of over 40 people and deliver.

Since joining RFA this guy has gone from living for the weekend to leading from the front, sharing his story and is absolutely incredible to see 🙌🏻

And our PB’d her 1 mile during her biggest week of running (100km) to date 👑

This weeks wee story..

I really felt the effects of weeks where I don’t get much time out side

This week was one of them.

Lots of treadmill running because of later nights working 😆

Sometimes being so productive can leave you unproductive if you aren’t careful with your boundaries 😌

A Saturday spent in nature was well needed 🌊🌱

They asked me like a pure smart arse…

Like they knew everything about me,

“How much would you give to be 21 again?”

You’d have to pay me 😂

At 21 I was a shell of myself

On paper though you’d never have guessed

Sure I drank a lot, partied a lot and had fun

But I also hated myself,

I was constantly shattered,

Although at the time I just thought that was normal,

Being exhausted, constantly harassed, reactive

I literally thought that was a part of being an adult

I’d yo-yo in and out of shape,

I couldn’t run for the bus never mind run a marathon,

I had no understanding of my emotions,

I was caught up doing things because I thought I should

I had no idea what I actually wanted.

Now at 31,

I’m the fittest, freest and happiest I’d ever been

It’s so easy to look back on your teens and early 20’s

“The good old days”

Through rose tinted glasses

But were they really that good?

It blows my mind when people in their late 20s or 30s talk like life’s over..

Like the best years are behind them

You might have ticked all the hypothetical boxes “the story”

But you’re 30’s aren’t the end,

The difference for me wasn’t age,

It was how I was living that massively changed.

Your 30’s could literally be the start 😉
