We debated whether to post this.
Because it’s easier to show up on the good days. On the days where everything is working and we have something useful to say.
But we kept thinking about the parents who follow us and silently wonder — do they ever struggle? Or is it just me?
It’s not just you.
We have hard mornings. We burn out. We argue after long days. We lose each other sometimes in the chaos of building a life and a business and raising a child who needs us at our best on the days we feel our worst.
We’re not sharing this for sympathy.
We’re sharing it because the gap between where you are and where you want to be isn’t as big as it looks from the outside.
We’re not the finished product. We’re just further along in the work.
And the work — the real work — never really stops.

11 years ago I stood across from this woman with a vision.
