๐ŸฅŠ 2 HOURS. 20 PEOPLE. 1 WORLD CHAMPION.

On Saturday 17 October, former WBA Super-Middleweight World Champion George Groves is coming to BOX Andover for a bespoke 2-hour technical boxing seminar.

George competed at the very highest level of professional boxing, sharing the ring with Carl Froch, James DeGale, Chris Eubank Jr and Callum Smith, and became WBA World Champion by stopping Fedor Chudinov. ๐Ÿ†

Throughout his career, George worked with some of boxing's most respected trainers, including Adam Booth, Paddy Fitzpatrick and Shane McGuigan, gaining years of knowledge and experience at elite level.

He's now passing that experience on as a professional boxing coach himself, currently training and managing unbeaten professional cruiserweight Lucas Roehrig.

This isn't a large exhibition or a quick meet & greet.

The seminar is limited to just 20 participants, giving you the opportunity to spend two hours learning directly from George in a small-group environment.

MY DEADLY DOZEN 2026 ๐Ÿ’€

What a season.

From Lee Valley back in April to one last race in Birmingham, this has easily been my biggest Deadly Dozen season yet.

Solo races, pairs, UK Championships, World Championships and relay. Plenty of podiums, PBs and some results I'm really proud of along the way.

But looking back through these photos, it's not just the results that stand out.

It's the people I've raced alongside, the training, the travelling, the laughs, the nerves before the start and that feeling when you cross the finish line knowing you've emptied the tank.

A solo PB of 55:15, age-group wins, a 2nd at the UK Championships, racing both Solo and Pairs at the World Championships, and then finishing the season yesterday with an amazing team - 2nd overall and 1st in our age group in the Mixed Relay.

At 51, I'm still getting faster, still learning and still finding out what I'm capable of.

Huge thanks to everyone I've raced with, trained with and who has supported me throughout the season. You know who you are. โค๏ธ

That's Deadly Dozen 2026 done.

What a season. ๐Ÿ’€

DEADLY DOZEN BIRMINGHAM ๐Ÿฅˆ๐Ÿฅ‡

What a team! ๐Ÿ”ฅ

A brilliant day at Deadly Dozen Birmingham with Natalie Everett , Bec & taking:

๐Ÿฅˆ 2ND OVERALL MIXED RELAY
๐Ÿฅ‡ 1ST IN OUR AGE CATEGORY

โฑ๏ธ 38:35

12 x 400m runs.
12 labours.
4 people.
One proper team effort. ๐Ÿ’€

Everyone had their job to do and everyone delivered.

We'd tested the relay together beforehand, worked out our individual runs and labours and went into today knowing exactly what we wanted to do.

The running was absolutely flying too our combined runs came in at 17:30, 43 seconds quicker than our test run ๐Ÿ”ฅ

Most importantly, a great event with a great team and great people, a brilliant way to finish the Deadly Dozen season.

Great to finish the season with another podium ๐Ÿฅˆ 2nd overall and ๐Ÿฅ‡ 1st in our age category.

We'll definitely take that! ๐Ÿ’€๐Ÿ”ฅ

More training doesn't always mean more progress.

After back-to-back Deadly Dozen World Championship races this weekend, the temptation could be to get straight back into training.

But right now, another hard session isn't what I need.
Training provides the stimulus, recovery is where we allow the body the opportunity to adapt to it.

That doesn't always mean complete rest either. Depending on what you're recovering from, easy aerobic work, walking or mobility may be appropriate alongside the things that matter every day, nutrition, hydration and sleep.

The same applies whether you're training for an event, trying to get stronger or simply improving your fitness.

Some days you need to push.
Some days you need to back off.

Knowing which one you need and when is part of training intelligently.
TRAIN โ†’ RECOVER โ†’ ADAPT โ†’ PROGRESS.
