Could your lower back be doing more work than it needs to? 👀

If you experience stiffness or tightness through your hips or lower back, this two-hour workshop with Feldenkrais Practitioner and Pilates teacher James Jackson offers a different way to explore what might be happening.

Rather than stretching harder, gripping more or trying to “fix” one particular area, James will use the Feldenkrais Method to explore the relationship between your pelvis, hips and spine - and how allowing the pelvis to move more freely can help distribute movement and load throughout the whole body.

Expect a curious, exploratory afternoon that will help you understand your own movement from the inside out, with ideas you can take into everyday life as well as your yoga, Pilates or movement practice.

✨ LIBERATE YOUR HIPS & LOWER BACK
with James Jackson
Saturday 24 October
2–4pm
£30 | £24 Yantra members

Suitable for all levels, and you don’t need any previous Feldenkrais experience.

Come and discover what changes when you stop trying to make your body move - and give it space to find another way.

When was the last time you really rested? Not scrolling, sleeping or collapsing at the end of a busy day - but consciously giving your nervous system permission to soften?

This October, Dina Cohen returns to Yantra for a two-day Restorative Yoga Training - and we have just a few spaces remaining. 🤍

And an important reminder: you don’t need to be a yoga teacher to join us.

This weekend is for anyone curious about the practice of deep rest - whether you’re a yoga teacher or trainee, bodyworker, therapist, wellbeing practitioner, or simply want to understand your own nervous system and learn ways to create more intentional rest at home.

Across the weekend, Dina will explore the healing power of conscious rest, the physiology of relaxation, the mind-body connection, nervous system regulation, sleep and the subtle body - alongside the practical foundations of Restorative Yoga.

And there will be plenty of time to experience the practice yourself.

So although this is a training, it’s also something of an urban retreat - two days to learn, practise, slow down and leave with tools you can genuinely use in your own life or share with others.

Restorative Yoga Training with Dina Cohen
📅 10 + 11 October 2026
⏰ 10am–5pm
📍 Yantra Studio, Norwich
Investment: £250

Last few spaces remaining.

29 years of practice… and still coming back to the same sequence 🤍

In our latest blog post, Yantra founder Abby shares her very personal relationship with Ashtanga Yoga - from a rather humbling first encounter in her 30s, to practising in Mysore, becoming a teacher, researching Ashtanga for her PhD and, now at 62, discovering what the practice continues to teach her.

What keeps drawing her back?

Not mastering the postures or chasing the next progression, but the familiarity of the practice itself. Returning to the same sequence, while noticing that you are never quite the same person stepping onto the mat.
It’s a beautiful reflection on discipline, repetition, ageing, attention and the way a practice can evolve alongside us through different stages of life.

As Abby writes:
“The sequence offers a framework I can return to, but I never arrive as quite the same person.”
Head to the blog via the link in our bio to read Ashtanga Yoga: The Practice I Keep Coming Back To.

And if Abby’s story has made you curious about Ashtanga, you can explore the practice with us at Yantra too - beginners very much welcome 🧡

Celebrating our September … Jemma! 🌟

Jemma is one of those members who throws herself into the full Yantra experience - from the intensity of HHIP Pilates to the strength and progression of Ashtanga, Rocket and Mandala. She’s also a regular at Barre Classique, which she says “genuinely makes my heart happy every week”, and loves Shake the Dust for always leaving her feeling better than when she walked in.

Here’s what Jemma had to say about her Yantra journey…
“Yantra gives me variety, challenge and balance all under one roof. The teachers make you feel comfortable wherever you are in your practice, while still encouraging you to be brave, challenge yourself and see what you’re capable of.” 🤍

Away from the studio, Jemma is a mum of three, works full time as a Matron in the NHS, and has two dogs, a cat and two horses at home - so life is certainly never quiet!

Yoga has become her way of creating some balance amongst it all, while continuing to build strength, mobility, confidence and curiosity in her practice.

Thank you, Jemma, for bringing such dedication, warmth and brilliant energy into the studio. We’re so happy you found Yantra, and we love having you as part of our community. 💜

Help us celebrate Jemma in the comments below! 👏✨
