Slowly but surely getting my strength back. Training is very sporadic at the moment but I'm fitting it in when I can. The biggest challenge by far is the lack of sleep. Zara has never slept through so I'm running on about 60% most of the time. But I ALWAYS feel better for training so I'll keep weight training when I can until I can form a better routine.

I've come to the end of my 10 week plan! 10 weeks of mindful nutrition and consistent training and I'm feeling stronger every day 💪
Still breastfeeding at 5 months post partum too. I've been really pleased at how little the diet has impacted on that. I made sure to add in higher calorie days, didn't drop calories low and kept training to around 3 sessions per week.
The main difference is in my mindset and mental health. I went from eating toast for breakfast and lunch, and just surviving the newborn phase, to really looking after myself. It reminded me who I am and why I enjoy the gym so much. It also taught me that I can do both. Be a good Mum, putting Zaras needs first, whilst also looking after myself and working on me. I actually also realised that to be the best Mum I can be, I really need to look after myself first.
I'm so bloody happy that I commited to this. If I was ever going to use excuses it would have been now 😅

First Bootcamp completed in probably over a year! 🥵🥵🥵
I'm now 2 weeks into my 10 week cut and 5lbs down. I'm feeling so much healthier and better for it too.
For anyone who may be interested, I'm still exclusively breastfeeding. The plan was to start combination feeding with formula at 3 months which coincided with me going back to work and starting the diet. Of course Zara has other ideas and is refusing the bottle completely, which is making life a little difficult and also means each day I'm assessing the effect being on a diet is having on breastfeeding and my flow.
So far I haven't noticed any changes and she's still showing all the signs that she's feeding enough. I have adhered to a few fundamental rules though. I haven't dropped my calories too low and I'm training less than I usually would. I'm factoring calories expended by breastfeeding too. If at any point I notice that my flow is impacted, I will of course go back to the drawing board.
I wouldn't recommend dieting whilst nursing and i'm by no means an expert. But for now, I figured having such a healthy diet and being hydrated can only be a good thing in terms of milk quality!

Been on plan for 5 days and my cheek bones have decided to come out of hiding 😅
I wish I saw results everywhere else that easily. 9 weeks left 🙌

Current exercise routine is walking around wearing a baby! 👌
I'm now 6 weeks post partum and my C Section seems to have healed well. I've been walking a lot but I'm going to aim to return to the gym next week for some light training. Basically going to see what feels do-able and ease myself in slowly with some bodyweight work, breath work and pelvic floor exercises. It will be trial and error to start with, all whilst being super mindful of my core. I'll try and film bits to share over on my page on Instagram. Give it a follow if you're interested! X

We took Zara to the gym for the first time last night for the Halloween Bootcamp. It was so nice to see the members and feel back 'to normal' for a couple of hours 🥰

1 Week Old vs 40 Weeks Pregnant ❤️
It seems I've created a feeding and pooping machine.
The female body is actually incredible. I'm obviously not thinking about my physique or diet at all at the moment and I'm taking all the time to rest and recover after an unexpected C Section. It's still surprising how much my body has changed in just one week. I notice it changing by the day and it's happened a lot quicker than I expected. I'm assuming breastfeeding is helping, especially since she wants to feed 24/7 😅
Please note that I'm engaging my core (well trying to) in this photo. If I fully relax my stomach it's completely different. I have put zero pressure on myself to look a certain way and I'm in no rush but it is interesting to document it along the way for my post partum recovery.
ALSO, I put these pants on for consistency in the photo's. Granny pants have now resumed for the time being👌

Most likely my last session as I finish work this week and I plan on putting my feet up next week until she's here 👌
All light weights and very controlled at this point but I'm happy to have maintained a decent amount of muscle mass in my upper body!
