Another champion in the making from Wiltshire.
Boxing has always had a dedicated following in the West Country and West Wilts is no exception.
With Trowbridge ABA making waves at the amateur championships Wiltshire based professional female boxer Megan Redstall has been preparing for her next fight sparring with former world champion Nina Hughes.
Megan was lined up to fight British and Commonwealth Champion Emma Dolan last year but due to illness Emma had to pull out of the 10 round championship fight.
With her last two fights being called fight of the night Megan is out to make another impressive statement on 14th June at the Galleries in Bristol.
Megan is a full time paramedic who has to juggle long shift with her rigorous training schedule.
“Ive been up to Essex sparring with Nina Hughes quite a bit the past month, great sparring and I’ve learnt so much from Nina. I just need another offer of a title fight” said Megan, but my focus is on the 14th at the moment with another 8 rounder.
In a recent interview Megan said it would be great to see all the U.K. based girls fight each other.
