Rye Junior Football Club proudly congratulates Finn Eagles, the 2026 Gary Gillies Rye Junior Sportsperson of the Year!

Last night, the Rye Sports & Social Club hosted the Community Bank Southern Peninsula 2026 Rye Sportsperson of the Year Awards Night at the Rye Hotel.

Finn was nominated by the Rye Junior Football Club with an impressive list of accomplishments this season again across local football, interleague for MPJFL and being selected as a player and captain for the inaugural U14s State Schools Victorian team.

We are so proud of you Finn! Your dedication, talent, and attitude make you such a deserving winner. We can’t wait to see what the 2027 season and beyond holds for you.

Rye JFC also congratulates Rebecca Scholl on her nomination for the 2026 Fay McCormick Rye Administration Sportsperson of the Year Award! For 6 years Rebecca has played a vital role within Rye JFC from team manager to treasurer. A well-deserved recognition for your hard work and passion for our club Rebecca.

Well done to all winners and nominees, an amazing celebration of sport in our Rye community!

❤️💙 THANK YOU STEVE PARIS! 💙❤️

We would like to take a moment to thank Steve Paris, who has served as President of Rye JFC over the last couple of years and is now stepping away from the President’s role and our committee.

Steve you’ve given countless hours to our club, and we cannot thank you enough for the time, effort and dedication you’ve put in. We’re incredibly grateful for the position you leave our amazing club in and the work you’ve done to help keep Rye JFC moving forward.

Volunteering takes a lot of time and commitment, and we hope you know just how much your contribution has meant to our club, our players and our families.

You’ve certainly earned a much-needed rest now, Steve! Thank you for everything you’ve done for Rye JFC. ❤️💙

❤️💙 COMMUNITY FOOTY ❤️💙

This week, some of our Rye JFC players Jett, Parker, Maxi, Reef and Levi all headed along to Lyndel Childcare Centre to run a Grand Final Week footy fun clinic for the little ones.

The kids had an absolute ball getting involved, having a kick and learning some footy skills from our Rye players.

We love seeing our players giving back to our local community and sharing their love of footy with the next generation.

Well done boys ♥️💙

We’re incredibly grateful for your ongoing support of our club, our players and our families. Your generosity makes a real difference to our club and the wider community.

And how good does our brand new Rye JFC marquee look?!

Thanks to the amazing sponsorship from Community Bank Southern Peninsula, we were able to purchase this marquee, which will be proudly used at game days, events and carnivals throughout the season — including our U9 and U10 Carnivals.

Thank you again for your continued support and partnership. We’re so proud to have Community Bank Southern Peninsula part of the Rye JFC family! ❤️💙

CLUB100 COMPETITION WINNERS!

This year, our club ran a little competition between all our teams to see who could get behind Club100 and bring in the most $100 sponsorships, and our U13s came out on top!

As the winners, the boys scored themselves a pizza night for the whole team 🍕

And this is where we have to give a HUGE shoutout to Bruce Collins from Jim’s Test & Tag!

Bruce, a long-time supporter of Rye, generously offered to shout the boys’ pizza night, and we couldn’t be more grateful! ❤️

Thank you so much Bruce, for your ongoing support of Rye JFC and for always getting behind our kids and our community. What an absolute legend!

We are incredibly lucky to have local businesses and people like Bruce supporting our club. 💙❤️

Give Jim’s Test & Tag a follow and support local!
