🏴☠️ Bucs Take the Win in Mallusk! 🥎
The Buccaneers headed to Mallusk to take on the Newtownabbey Phoenix for the very first time.
After a scoreless opening inning, the Bucs found their rhythm and started putting runs on the board over the next two innings, opening up a 9–4 lead by the end of the third.
A huge 9-run 5th inning gave the Bucs the boost they needed to push on and secure a fantastic 19–10 win. 💪
A big shoutout as well to our two debutants, Katie and Eimar, who made their first appearances for the team today, welcome to the Bucs! 🙌

🌧️ Barracudas Battle Through the Rain to Edge Neptune's 9–8 🌧️
The Barracudas took on the Neptune's on Sunday 7th June 2026, and to say the conditions were wet would be an understatement, it absolutely poured throughout the match. Coats were on, but everyone still ended up drenched!
Despite the weather, both teams put on a fantastic, hard-fought game, with the Barracudas coming away with a narrow 9–8 win.
A special mention has to go to both pitchers, who did an incredible job in awful conditions. Pitching hittable balls was hard enough, never mind strikes, but both pitchers really stepped up and kept the game competitive from start to finish.
Defensively, it was a huge game for the infield, with nearly all outs coming through sharp plays between Danny McCartney at 1st base, Ali Steenwyk at 2nd, Matthew Connor at shortstop, Naomi Connor at 3rd, Marc Taylor behind the plate, and Will Gilpin on the mound.
One of the standout moments came from Naomi Connor, who made a mad dash towards the foul ball line to take a brilliant catch from a pop-up and nearly repeated the same play in the very next inning!
That’s not to say the outfield wasn’t involved. Key plays from Anna Devany in left field and Carrie Webb in right field helped move the ball back into the infield quickly, while fly catches from Adam Norman in left-centre field and Johnny Campbell in right-centre field helped shut down some of the Neptune's’ big hitters.
A massive well done to the whole team for digging deep in tough conditions, and thank you to the Neptune's for a great game.
🏆 Final Score: Barracudas 9–8 Neptune's
⭐ Male MVPs: Matty Connor & Will Gilpin
⭐ Female MVP: Naomi Connor

Scrabo Sluggers welcomed the Bangor Barracudas to Ward Park for the first Derby of the season with their clubmates.
The Cudas took to batting first and were on the scoreboard straight away with a HR from Adam Norman opening the game and as much as injured Sluggers captain Pete Maxwell booed, it didn't take the well deserved smile of Adam's face.
The Sluggers were slow to get the bats swinging in the early innings but a 2 run HR from Sluggers Adam Clarke showed what the sluggers are capable of as well as putting runs on the board.
Both teams defend well to limit runs but the Cudas were able to add more to the scoreboard than the Sluggers with Matty Connor, Charlene and Danny McCartney teaming well to collect outs in the infield.
Sluggers infield pairing of Steve McGuiness and Alan McGimpsey continuing their great partnership to collect out with Oliver Lee and Dawn Crothets also chipping in to keep runners at day.
The highlight of the game went to James Murphy for his first ever HR and deciding to do it in style by making it a grand slam and even though it didn't affect the overall result, both teams were quick to congratulate James in this achievement.
The MVP awards for the Sluggers went to James Murphy and Sarah Horan.
The MVP awards for the Barracudas went to Adam Norman and Charlotte Turpitt.
