🚨 MASSIVE shout out to Ken Parsons Ken Parsons for an incredible achievement this weekend! 👏🥇
Not content with completing one triathlon, Ken completed THREE triathlons across TWO days! 😱💪
What’s even more impressive is that his biggest challenge wasn’t the running or cycling—it was overcoming a fear of open water swimming.
Here’s what Ken had to say:
“Before taking on the Weekend Warrior Triathlon, I knew my biggest challenge wasn’t going to be the running or cycling – it was going to be overcoming my fear of open water swimming.
For the last few years, I’ve been working with Jamie Bain at Strength Made Simple, and I can honestly say that the sessions we did together formed the foundation of everything I achieved over the weekend. Jamie helped build my strength, fitness and cardio to a level where I knew they weren’t going to let me down. That gave me the confidence to focus on the bigger challenge – tackling the mental battle of getting into open water and dealing with the fear that comes with it.
When things got tough during the event, I was drawing on the strength, fitness and resilience that had been built week after week in those training sessions. Knowing that my body was prepared allowed me to keep going when my mind was being tested.

You’re not too old.

Our first-ever SMS Run Club is in the books!
Of course, the weather had other ideas, but that didn’t stop this fantastic group from showing up, getting out there, and embracing the rain. That’s exactly the kind of attitude that leads to long-term success.
