Townsends were pleased to donate one of their Light Blue Chesterton 7spd Step-Thru bicycles to help support the creation of a dedicated playroom at the forthcoming Addenbrookes Cambridge Children’s Hospital - act4addenbrookes.org.uk/ as a part of a charity auction.

The online auction which was organised by Cheffins took place from 7th – 23rd November and offered a series of money-can’t-buy experiences, it attracted 81 bidders from around the world with many lots exceeding expectations and delivered £17,000 in proceeds, 100% of which went directly to the charity.

The generous top bid for the bicycle came in from Claire, who recently picked up her new bicycle from Townsends Light Blue Cycle Centre on Chesterton Road, Cambridge.
