Came for Pilates, stayed for a dip 🧘🏾♀️🌊
Pilates with Danni
Gentle movement, intentional habits, and a softer approach to wellness.
One of the most common things I see in class is people rushing into the movement before they’ve taken a second to set themselves up.
I always say, “Take a moment before you move.” It might not seem important, but your starting position makes a huge difference.
Before you lift your leg, check that:
• Your body is in one straight line.
• Your hips are stacked directly on top of each other (not rolling forwards or backwards).
• Your chest is open.
• Your shoulder is relaxed away from your ear.
• Your waist is gently lifted away from the mat.
• Your foot stays pointed so the leg stays engaged throughout the exercise.
It sounds like a lot to think about, but it should become second nature.
Slowing down for those few seconds at the start will always be more beneficial than rushing through the movement.
Your setup is just as important as the exercise itself 🤍
An almost typical Tuesday.
I’m usually in the office or at my dad’s working but got to spend a rare day actually working from my home, which obviously meant multitasking, working on my tan as well as actually working.

There’s something special about moving outdoors, taking time to slow down, breathe deeply and reconnect in nature.
A few reasons I love teaching outdoors:
Vitamin D
Reduced stress & improved mood
Fresh air to boost your energy
Improved focus & mental clarity
A stronger mind-body connection
Whether you’ve done Pilates for years or you’re thinking of trying it for the first time, I’d love to welcome you.

There must be something wrong with me because why is my face like this at every Pilates class I attend.
Why am I smiling and laughing through the pain? 😂
Also really feel like I bonded with the girl next to me during what can only be described as a diabolical start….We genuinely thought we were already into the main workout….we were not. 😂
Also, a reminder that your instructor struggles through class too! If you’re finding your class easy, you’re probably doing it wrong and your form is definitely off
If you haven’t been yet, make sure you go to classes this summer on the rooftop! Such a gorgeous start to the day with the sunshine and is such a gorgeous instructor ✨
