Over 10 years ago, a few friends convinced Michael to try CrossFit. He had no idea what he was getting into. What started in a small gym with just a handful of members became something that stuck.
And it wasnāt just the workouts.
āIt had community. What got me to keep going was seeing people in different walks of life totally killing it.ā
Today, Michael is still showing upāoften at 5:45 a.m.āwhile balancing work, family, and two little ones. Because for him, health and fitness arenāt just something to fit in when thereās time. Theyāre a priority.
We asked him why he loves CrossFit, and his answer says a lot:
āItās straight to the point, thereās measurement of progress, itās the only thing that got me to kick my bad habits (š¬) and itās just badass!ā
His advice to anyone starting their fitness journey?
āDo what you love and donāt get sucked into the information rabbit hole of what methodology is the ābestā. Whatās best out there is whatās best for YOU. Everyoneās lives are different, everyoneās bodies are different, so their experience is also different. I would definitely give CrossFit a shot though. š ā
Michael, thanks for being part of our community and for reminding us that progress isnāt just about what happens in the gym. Itās about the habits, priorities, and people that make showing up worthwhile.
This is what ONFitness is all about.
